Together, we can achieve a bright future where all Idaho’s children have strong foundations necessary to thrive and become self-sufficient adults.
What We're Doing
Idaho Voices for Children champions policies that help kids and families thrive. We serve as a voice for children in policymaking conversations and drive change in the areas of health, child safety and well-being, education, school readiness and family economic security.
How We're Doing It
Idaho Voices for Children utilizes research, data and community partners to identify strategies that best support kids. We then mobilize allies from across the state to advocate for smart public policy solutions. Our team pays close attention to the impact of socioeconomic status, race and geography as we seek to remove barriers to opportunity for all of Idaho’s children.

Our History
For over 20 years, child advocates in Idaho worked under various affiliations to advance public policies focused on child care and child welfare legislation. As the population grew in Idaho, so did the need for an organization to unite these voices. In 2004, Idaho Voices for Children was established as a nonpartisan, nonprofit tasked with serving the interests of Idaho kids and leading research, policy and advocacy efforts across the state. A decade later, Idaho Voices for Children joined Jannus, a diverse health and human services organization that manages a variety of community health, economic opportunity and public policy programs.
